Join the Shift is a safe driving program from Erie Insurance that teaches teens how to make smart choices behind the wheel. The goals of the program are to save lives and encourage safe driving, especially among young drivers, by targeting schools and students with its message.
Because one in three teen deaths are caused by car accidents, Erie Insurance's goal was to develop a site that speaks directly to teen drivers about the dangers of distracted driving in an engaging way. Werkbot was able to help Erie Insurance by developing a website that connected with its target audience in an interactive, fun way. It included features and functionality that appeal to teenagers, including videos and a platform for the Join the Shift challenge, a contest aimed at getting as many high school students as possible to pledge to not engage in distracted driving.
