For a brief period of time, Flash “splash pages” were the be-all and end-all of Web sites. Werkbot has the capability of creating splash pages using Flash, and we’re happy to do so if it’s what you want. But, we recommend thinking about splash pages wisely. Some splash pages easily fall into the category of “over-designed,” and they will annoy your viewer more than entertain them. In fact, most viewers are quick to hit “skip intro” and get to the guts of the goods without thinking about it.

However, viewers do respond well to subtle touches of Flash throughout the pages of a site, adding movement to otherwise static concepts and text. We’ve found a little bit goes a long way in adding Flash to your interface, and we’re happy to work with you in effort to find the right amount for your audience.
