Day in the Life of a Marketing Coordinator

My alarm goes off at 6:22 a.m. There’s no real significance to that time, it just feels right.

It gives me a few chances to snooze and rotate in bed like a gas station hotdog.

Once I’m up, I shower and make breakfast before heading into the office. I’m usually the first one there, which means I get to unlock the door and turn on the lights. My desk is located right by the entrance, so I get to greet everyone as they walk in. That is one of my favorite parts of the day.

On Thursdays, our “bark-end developer,” Loki, works from the office, so I make sure his water bowl is filled and his toys are ready for his arrival. And, if The Roaming Bean is downtown… I’m running for coffee.

My workday kicks off with Gmail and Teamwork, where I map out priorities and check in on ongoing projects. From there, I dive into managing social media pages, responding to comments and direct messages, and scrolling through feeds to show some love. If posts are going up, I create the graphics for the day in Canva (a total game changer) to bring ideas to life. Once the posts are up, I keep a close eye on them so I can respond to comments as they come in.

Once social is in a good place, I shift into project work! This consists of things like writing meta descriptions, setting up redirects, and building out webpages. It’s a mix of creative and technical work that keeps every day interesting.

My tasks never feel like work because I genuinely enjoy what I do.

At the end of the day, I lock up the office, head home to eat dinner and win a Victory Crown in Fortnite.
